MBA585: Current Topics in Bioscience Management

This course is an overview of the key forces influencing the biosciences industries. Topics covered in the course include economic impact of biotechnology, new product development, intellectual property, business development, strategic partnering and marketing and brand management. These topics are explored through presentations from industry leaders and collaborative projects. 

Work Examples
MBA586: Legal, Regulatory, and Ethical Issues in Life Science Industries

This course covers legal and ethical issues relevant to the life science industries. Topics covered in the course include patent law, common law, tort law, and ethical concerns in biotechnology. The course culminated in a final research paper and presentation on a literature review on a topic relevant to the course. I chose to look at Physician-Assisted Death and the regulatory and ethical concerns associated with the practice.

Final Presentation
MBA561: Consumer Behavior

This fascinating course covered a variety of topics relevant to consumer behavior including priming, decision heuristics, and emotion. The class was delivered online, and included weekly forum discussions on the lecture and reading content. 

BUS554: Project Management

The project management course I took discussed the principles of project management, while we worked in teams to apply this concepts to a semester-long project management project. The course also included the use of Microsoft Project.
