ARVO Conference 2019 - Poster Presentation

Presented a poster at The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology annual conference in Vancouver, BC in May of 2019. The poster was on data relating to the role of autophagy in TGF induced fibrogenesis. The presentation consisted of two 2 hour interactive sessions with the attendees.

Literature Review Presentation: CRISPR in HIV Treatment

I wrote a literature review after researching the current publications on the use of CRISPR technology in the treatment of HIV infections and then presented a summary to the MMB class.

Comparative Medicine Institute: Aug 2019 - Sept 2019

As a team we served as consultants for Dr. Piedrahita on the commercialization of his pig model. We performed a competitive and market analysis on stem cell models and identified potential applications for a novel pig model in stem cell research.

Critical Review of Journal Article

In the Microbial Metabolic Regulation course I took, we practiced our critical analysis skills by reading peer-reviewed journal articles and practiced writing our reviews. One article I reviewed was on the regulation of magnetosome synthesis in Magnetospirillum gryphiswaldense.
