Clinical Operations Intern
June 2020 - August 2020
I spent the summer of 2020 working as a Clinical Operations Intern at FHI Clinical. FHI Clinical is a CRO that spun out of their parent company, FHI 360, last year, and they focus on infectious disease research. My role was split between the study start-up and global strategy teams where I am assisted with site identification and feasibility for two COVID-19 studies.
Strategic Initiatives Intern
February 2020 - June 2020
I worked as a Strategic Initiatives Intern at CureSearch for Children's Cancer where I supported the planning and development of the Inaugural 2020 CureSearch Pediatric Early Development Symposium (PEDS). I worked to develop a robust invite list by identifying key opinion leaders in the pediatric oncology space. My tasks included identifying key companies working in pediatric oncology drug development, identifying potential sponsorship opportunities, participating in meetings with potential attendees/sponsors, and crafting grant proposals. Additionally, as the pandemic unfolded, I assisted in transitioning the meeting to a virtual platform.
